Does double texting actually look desperate or is that a myth?

The double-text rule is mostly a myth invented by anxiety. If a guy likes you, a second text is a nice surprise, not a red flag. We're not keeping score.

Honestly I've fallen for girls BECAUSE they double texted. It read as confident and warm. The 'desperate' framing is just fear talking.
